For the past years, I have broached on the following subjects : -
"Change Before You Have To" - By Jack Welch, G. E
"To Improve Is To Change; To Be Perfect Is to Change Often" - By Winston Churchill
"Move With Speed" - By Jack Welch, G. E.
I have constantly shared on the following Concepts : -
1.0 "Desired Results" and the four Essential Ingredients: -
(i) Alignment
(ii) Time-Line
(iii) Measurable
(iv) Accountability
2.0 "Empowerment" and the two Essential Ingredients: -
(i) Competency
(ii) Trust
Are the above ideas / concepts still relevant today? Or are they "old hats" to be discarded away? I am of the conviction that these ideas / concepts are even "more relevant" today (with globalization, and the world moving at internet speed).
We can have the "vision" but it is the "execution" we must perfect.
So, as your Chairman / CEO, I am going to "stay focused" , be "totally committed" and "sharpen the execution".
To sum up my thoughts and actions, I will like to quote the following: -
(A) IF THE RATE OF CHANGE INSIDE AN ORGANIZATION IS LESS THAN THE RATE OF CHANGE OUTSIDE, THEN THE END IS IN SIGHT" - BY JACK WELCH
(B) THE POWER OF VISION:
"VISION WITHOUT ACTION IS JUST A DREAM.
ACTION WITHOUT VISION IS JUST PASSING TIME.
VISION WITH ACTION CAN CHANGE THE WORLD" - BY JOEL ARTHUR BAKER
